I don’t know much about theatre, but if I was a big giant nerd I’d head down to the Pit Bar at BATS this Thursday at 8pm to partake in the BATS Theatre Quiz. Former Salient Theatre Editor (2007) Eleanor Bishop is running it. I just asked her on g-chat and she said you don’t even have to be a nerd to be in to win a big fat bar tab. Going to a few shows round Wellington this year will stand you in excellent stead, as will having done a modicum of Shakespeare at high school.

Apparently Bishop got real pissed off that she was useless at pub quizzes (only really taming in the popular culture rounds) and being
dragged along to the film quiz at the Paramount made her feel really stupid too. So, it appears that this quiz is all about making her feel
smart. But you can feel smart too and win a bar tab in the process! Ego-feeding + booze sounds like a combo I could get into.
