VUWSA’s Initial General Meeting (IGM) has been postponed, due to a delay in receiving the final audited accounts.
The IGM is now scheduled for 28 April.
VUWSA President Max Hardy says that the auditors should have the accounts ready by the end of March.
“We want to present the audited accounts to the Initial General Meeting, as we are required to in the constitution.
“It’s a really important way that VUWSA is accountable to its members… Our books are fully open to students.”
The meeting had been scheduled for 17 March.
Hardy says that the presentation of the audited accounts is an “important transparency measure” that VUWSA did not want to delay until the Annual General Meeting.
