SCS Email Upgraded: Promptly breaks down

STUDENT COMPUTING Services staff were working around the clock last week to repair major problems to student email services.

ITS Service and Operations Manager Peter Borich says the problems with student accounts were the result of a major upgrade of the antiquated email system. New equipment has been purchased, but it was taking time to fix the problems because the provider was based in Canada, he says.

Borich assured Salient that the problems would have been fixed by last Friday.
