Let the reign of wacky feminists begin!!!
im very happy that bible burning tosser sonny thomas didnt get in. may all of our 2009 at vic be better for it.
SHIT VUWSA is screwed…
Another year of the same fucking shit.
Oh My God. Hold on to your seats, 2009 is gonna be a bumpy ride.
Oh this is going to be such a fun year!
Congrats to all who won their respective posts. I didn’t vote for all of you and I disagreed with the platforms of a few, but nevertheless I wish you all the best in your roles next year.
Spend my money wisely! :)
What do people think of some kind of STV format for VUWSA elections?
I think that there are enough diseases going around this campus already.
By diseases, do you mean the majority of the candidates in this election?
OH BA-ZING, LIAM WENT THERE. LIAM FUCKING WENT THERE. I didn’t think he would – I-I-I-I didn’t think he would, bu-bu-but, he did. He fucking… did you see it? Did you? He… he went head first… HEAD FIRST… for the fucking… fuck…
.. 2009, what a year, what a president, what a VUWSA, what times ahead, fuck…
… fuck
Not happy really-Another year of nothing?
Stick around Sonny!!!
lulz
haha feminazi rule begins.
Well, the students have spoken :-)
That’s alot of no confidence right there for those for who it was applicable.
Seriously though, only 10%? Guess students are resigned to the fact that they can’t do anything about a sizable collective chunk of their money going down a two way drain with bad plumbing.
“Election held, students don’t give a fuck.”
I’m too lazy to look this up, but when was the last time VUWSA had a female president?
Amanda Hill – before Jeremy Greenbrook, me thinks. But I was still at high school, so who knows.
It is good to see a female in the president’s seat after a few years though. Not enough female representation at the top of VUWSA and Salient for my liking, but I guess that could be a reflection of the old boys club that is Vic Uni.
My decision not to vote was indicative of my ‘no confidence’ in all candidates and the VUWSA exec as a whole.
Oh well. Fuck the socialists, and fuck Sonny Thomas the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
Fuck all of it.
None of this would have happened if Mr. McAllister hadn’t meddled the way he did. He should have just accepted things as they are instead of trying to interfere with destiny. You see, you can’t interfere with destiny. That’s why it’s destiny. And if you try to interfere, the same thing’s going to happen anyway, and you’ll just suffer.
Yeah, the last woman president was Amanda Hill (2004). VUWSA had a run of female presidents earlier this century: Fleur (2002), Catherine (2003), Amanda (2004).
Fleur was the first woman president since 1994, when Juliet Gunby was in office.
It’s also interesting to note that far more men than women even stood in the VUWSA general elections this time round, and when women candidates have stood, they tend to do electorally better than their male counterparts.
Perhaps a project for a politics research essay?
Jasmine.
If you’re in training to be a clown, perhaps.
Hmm yeah I don’t think VUWSA elections count for POLS essays..
hahaha
Oh noes, me, Jackson and Kelly Spring all together on two websites…
Hey Kelly, wanna get a mojito?
“If you’re in training to be a clown, perhaps.”
Nigel Mander who got rolled as President of VUWSA back in the 80s is a clown now…
VUWSA: We’ll turn that frown upside down, clown.
Wow, Nigel Mander’s a clown and Nick Kelly’s a bus driver!
The bus will take you to town, so turn that frown upside down, clown.
Aren’t you meant to be at playgroup?
Meh, I’d rather have a feminist than invest my trust in a cartoon character.
