The line between theatre and dance is always blurred. Both forms can never ever be truly separate, nor can they ever be truly the same. Thricely? Precisely. A Pocket Full of Pips. falls very much on the dance side of that line, but still with an ever watchful eye on the theatric side of the border.
It has a diversity of tone and a quickness of wit that really draws the audience in to this intimate physical exploration of all the little obsessions and compulsions of life.
All three of the dancers—Brigid Costello (who also directed), Hannah Elks and Jane Wenley—show supreme skill, poise and timing throughout the work.
A wonderful success and one I hope we’ll be seeing again soon.
Thricely? Precisely. A Pocket Full Of Pips.
