Inflikted is the debut album by Cavalera Conspiracy, a groove/thrash metal band, which marks the first musical reunion of the Cavalera brothers – Max and Igor – since the 1996 break-up of legendary thrash metal band Sepultura.

Snowfield, a.k.a. Alexander Wilson, is, according to his Myspace page, a “minimalist/hardcore/electro group”. Wilson started out as Snowfield in 2006 when he played at the first Craftwerk Craft Party as a solo noise band. The first thing I noticed about this album was the artwork; it’s pretty good.

Upon first inspection I was slightly confused by the name of this album. It sounds more like the name of a sophomore effort released after a disappointing debut. However, Second Chances is in fact the debut album by Otaki-raised, and now Wellington-based rapper, Perceive, aka Pera Barrett.
